Tell Us A Little Bit About Your Weight Struggle

At nights I would cry because I was so hungry, this ended up with me binging most days. With discipline and hard work, I had lost 50 pounds in the course of a year, at 13-14 years old. This was also hard because kids would pick on me as an overweight kid. Maybe even some of the reasons why I wanted to lose the weight was because of it.

But what really changed my mind was when my doctor officially told me I was in the obese range! As a kid this can be hard to hear, and if I did not change my eating habits, I most likely would have health problems in the future.

What Was Your Wake-Up Call Or “A-Ha Moment” That Caused You To Really Commit Yourself To Succeeding?

This started when I had a mental breakdown about my body image. I kept looking in the mirror knowing I could do better for my body. Finally I had enough with my bad diet of McDonald’s fries and Pepsi and took my life and health into my own hands.

How Have Your Eating Habits Changed Since Beginning Your Journey? What Did You Eat Before And What Are You Eating Now?

Before I could rest, I ate a 10 piece meal of chicken nuggets and large fries with a large Pepsi every day. This took a tremendous toll on my health! I started eating fruits, vegetables, other meat than those chicken nuggets, and this is what helped me lose the weight.

What Is The Difference In Your Fitness Before You Started And Now?

Before, I didn’t even want to go for a walk around the block. I would stay in my bed, eat Doritos, Cheetos, everything to do with carbs. But now, after my journey, I’ve been going to the gym daily, doing sports such as track and investing in all that is physical.

What Has Been The Biggest Change/Payoff For You So Far?

The biggest payoff was getting the body I have dreamed of! I feel more confident and comfortable in the body I have now.

How Much Weight Have You Lost? How Long Did It Take You To Lose It?

I have lost 50 pounds, but gained some back in muscle. It took me about a year to fully get all that baby fat off of me.

Some Advice and/or Words of Wisdom I’d Like To Share

Even if you feel like giving up because you don’t see progress, or you feel like you’re not worthy of being what you truly want to be, you have to tell yourself, do it now! Not later, not tomorrow. You have to stay true to yourself & the only way it’s gonna get easier is if you do the hard work first.
