Top Ten Weight Watchers Recipes of 2022
As 2022 quickly comes to a close, it is that time of year I like to take a look back at the most popular recipes on our website with visitors and weight watchers members this past year.
It’s hard to believe that it has been fifteen years since I started Simple Nourished Living in December 2007 as a place to share my passions for yoga, healthy balanced living and cooking. To say I had no idea what I was doing is an understatement. I posted erratically on a wide variety of topics from my favorite yoga DVDs for back pain, and favorite cooking classes to eating like a french lady and guiltless self care.
A longtime Weight Watcher with a love of food and cooking, I also shared recipes for everything from my nana’s crunchy jumble cookies to easy blueberry cheesecake bars made lighter. But it was Weight Watchers friendly recipes, especially crockpot recipes that seemed to resonate with folks most.
In the years since then, my brother, Peter, and I have shared hundreds of healthy weight watchers recipes, dozens of weight loss success stories, healthy lifestyle articles, and made tons of online friends. We wrote several eBooks and send out weekly emails to support you with your healthy eating and weight loss efforts. (You can Sign up here for emails from me if you’d like.)
None of this would have been sustainable without you. Thank you for reading our cooking blog posts and emails and cooking our recipes. Thank you for leaving comments and sharing this site with friends. Thank you for your amazing testimonials. Every time I read the details of your personal experience I feel happy and humbled to know that I have been able to play some small part in your success. I feel so fortunate to be able to do work I love. I’m forever grateful. Thank you for being here!
And so without further ado as we say goodbye to personal points and hello to a new plan, here are the 10 most popular recipes with readers that we made and posted in 2022.
Top 10 Weight Watcher Recipes 2022
As I researched the most highly trafficked recipes posted this year it became obvious that light and easy sweet treats, easy recipes for comfort food with minimal ingredients that the whole family would like were what resonated with readers most! I hope you enjoy these delicious recipes with Weight Watchers Points too!!!
#1 Weight Watchers 3-Ingredient Pineapple Fluff
Pineapple fluff is a longtime favorite with those on a weight loss journey for good reason. It’s easy to make and delicious. A quick and easy no-cook dessert with just 3 ingredients everyone seems to love. I can’t believe it has taken me so long to share this family favorite here on the blog. The best part of this quick & easy recipe is that it can be modified in so many ways (though points value may be affected):
Possible additions: mini marshmallow, chopped nuts
Different fruit: fruit cocktail, chopped mandarin oranges, chopped canned peaches
Different pudding flavors: banana cream, coconut cream, pistachio, cheesecake, white chocolate
Cool Whip Substitutions: Plain greek yogurt, vanilla yogurt, cottage cheese, whipped cream
Flavor additions: coconut extract, rum extract, etc. (all with zero points)
#2 Raspberry Cheesecake Overnight Oats
Looking for a great way to start your day? Treat yourself to one of our most popular breakfast recipes with these yummy overnight oats made extra special with the addition of cheesecake flavored Jell-o instant pudding mix and fresh raspberries! With just 4 common ingredients, my first batch of light & healthy raspberry oats turned out great, quickly becoming one of my new favorites —I love fresh berries on just about everything.
#3 2-Ingredient Greek Yogurt Pudding Fluff
Here’s another one of those easy weight watchers recipes for a quick and easy healthy snack or dessert that’s been shared at WW program meetings/workshops for years. I can’t believe it took me so long to try this simple satisfying sweet 2-Ingredient Greek yogurt pudding fluff. Who knew combining plain, nonfat Greek yogurt (one of my favorite zero point foods) with sugar free pudding mix could be so creamy, tasty and satisfying for relatively few calories and WW Points? Use only 1 tablespoon of instant pudding mix (sugar free) to ¾ cup of yogurt. This is one case where more is definitely NOT better. The mixture will get much too thick and pasty!
#4 Skinny Easy Orange Delight Salad
While perusing my mom’s extensive old community cookbook collection, I was excited to come upon this recipe for “Orange Delight Quick Salad.” It seemed like such a great variation of 3-Ingredient Pineapple Fluff so popular with Weight Watchers through the decades.
I whipped up a batch and was “delighted” with how it turned out. Rod and my mom liked it too, though she felt the addition of chopped nuts would make it better.
This super easy to make luscious cool and creamy salad or dessert goes by lots of different names: WW Fluff, Orange Fluff, Orange Delight. But no matter what you call it, it’s delicious!
#5 No Bake Orange Creamsicle Pie
This easy creamy no-bake pie tastes just like Orange Creamsicles! A lightened up homemade graham cracker crust forms the base for this family-friendly recipe and low-fat cottage cheese adds a nice little protein boost. A summertime favorite, this No Bake Orange Creamsicle Pie needs at least 4 hours in the refrigerator to set before serving, but can also be made ahead and chilled overnight.
#6 Easy Tuna Patties
Tuna patties are a super quick and easy, budget friendly healthy dinner idea. Using canned tuna, they come together in minutes, perfect for a busy weeknight friendly meal. This recipe is basic yet very versatile. You can change up the spices to make it your own. Additional seasonings ideas include: Old Bay seasoning, Dijon mustard, dill, chopped celery, chopped water chestnuts, hot sauce, lemon juice, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic or granulated garlic.
#7 Creamy Peanut Butter Cup Dip
Next time you are craving a peanut butter cup, ditch the Reese’s and whip up a batch of this 10-minute Peanut Butter Cup Dip instead. Deliciously creamy, this 100 calorie snack dip with no added sugar tastes just like everyone’s favorite candy and for a lot fewer calories! This yummy gluten-free treat serves 6, but the recipe can easily be doubled, or tripled, if you’re feeding a crowd.
#8 Easy Icebox Eclair Dessert Made Lighter
Looking for a quick and easy dessert recipe that takes just 15 minutes to make? You’ll love this Easy Icebox Eclair Dessert recipe. An old-fashioned no bake icebox cake with layers of graham crackers, pudding, and chocolate icing.
It’s a cool and creamy layered dessert made lighter, perfect for hot days. A big hit with friends and family, I’ve lightened it up with sugar free pudding, low fat milk, light cool whip and fewer graham crackers.
This luscious dessert comes together quickly and easily. For best results allow at least 8 hours or overnight for it to fully chill.
#9 4-Ingredient Turtle Cake
I’m excited to share this easy 4-Ingredient Turtle Cake made lighter. With only 4-ingredients it comes together quickly and makes for an impressive ending to a delicious meal. As soon as I spied it among new recipes in the Fall 2021 Hungry Girl Magazine (affiliate link) I knew I wanted to try this light & easy dessert and I’m so glad I did. This cake is delicious on its own or the way my husband likes it, with a scoop of ice cream alongside.
#10 The Best Sugar Free Hot Chocolate Mix
A cup of hot cocoa is one of my favorite indulgences during the cooler months. While I absolutely love this low calorie hot chocolate recipe, sometimes I appreciate the convenience of those packets of hot cocoa mix that just require you stir in boiling water (or hot coffee for a quick and easy hot cafe mocha).
Sugar Free Hot Chocolate Mix is great to have on hand those cold winter days when chocolate cravings strike. There’s nothing wrong with the hot chocolate mixes found on the shelves of your local grocery store. But you can also easily make your own sugar-free hot chocolate mix in minutes for less money.
That’s where this this simple ww recipe for your own homemade version of hot cocoa mix comes in. This homemade dark hot chocolate mix is equivalent to an entire box of the dark hot cocoa packets. The secret to its “deep, dark” color and flavor is Dutch-processed cocoa. Hershey’s brand Special Dark Cocoa is an excellent choice, but any unsweetened cocoa powder will do.
A cup of this rich and creamy hot cocoa only has about 55 calories. It’s so rich and creamy you won’t even miss the added sugar. It is also perfect for holiday gifting to those who appreciate warm sugar-free drinks.
